Getting to Hastings
Hastings Casino is at 188 N Renfrew St, Vancouver, BC V5K 3N8, at Hastings Racecourse. The racecourse dates from 1889. Live thoroughbred racing there ended on December 5, 2025. The photo on this page shows the racecourse and its grandstand from the air, taken in 2026.
Drivers have little to go on. Hastings does not publish parking terms on its page, so Up Close gives no price and no rules.
Two bus stops are nearest. The closer one is on McGill St at N Renfrew St, eastbound, about 425 m away and served by routes 209, 210, 211 and 214. The other is on Eton St at N Renfrew St, about 476 m away, served by route 4. Both distances are straight lines, not walking routes. No SkyTrain station is within 1.5 km.
Through the door
Hastings Casino opens Sunday to Thursday 11 AM to 12 AM, and Friday and Saturday 11 AM to 2 AM. Holiday hours should be checked on the venue's own site. Entry is 19+ with government-issued photo ID.
The floor is slots only. No table games and no poker room are listed, and the casino uses Encore Rewards. Racing has ended, but Hastings still publishes a monthly simulcast schedule. Jerome's, a casual restaurant, sits off the Racebook. An indoor lounge with a full-service bar and a stage is steps from the gaming floor.
As of October 7, 2026, Great Canadian Entertainment still runs the casino. A definitive agreement of November 7, 2025 sells the casino part to the Tsleil-Waututh Nation, subject to regulators and the City of Vancouver.
